At liva við tí
At liva við tí (To live with it) is a short documentary following two women with very different experiences of death. One has lost her mother to cancer, while the other has survived two suicide attempts. The film explores how these contrasting encounters with death shape their perspectives on life, grief and survival.
Concept & focus
Rather than focusing on death itself, the documentary centres on how people live with it — how loss, trauma and survival continue to exist in everyday life long after the defining event has passed.
By placing these two stories side by side, the film highlights how death can be both something that happens to us and something we actively survive.

Reflection
Creating this documentary required working independently across concept development, filming and editing while handling highly sensitive subject matter. The project strengthened my ability to structure complex, emotional narratives and make careful ethical decisions throughout the production process.
